Waiting on bated breath...

My cousin is being induced tomorrow and is having a little girl that they named "Melody Elaine".  Today I got a random text from her asking what we were going to name our little girl who is due in August... I told her and I really don't think she'll use it, but I am slightly worried that she will end use it. And I am even more curious to see if she is second guessing her choice.

Disclaimer: I know I have no claim over the name "Esme". I know I can still technically use the name even if she does as well. I also know that I shouldn't have such a huge head to think that every pregnant woman wants to name her daughter the name I came up with.

I love the name you've chosen. Esme Julia is lovely! Your cousin was probably just being curious. I wouldn't worry too much.

I would have just acted like we hadn't picked a name yet......its not like Esme is a popular name that she would randomly use (if she decided to change the name).

Esme Julia is a beautiful name and so is Melody Elaine.  I don't think you have much to worry about, but at least you'll find out tomorrow once her daughter arrives.  GL!

Thanks everyone for the compliments! We love the name (obviously) LOL.

Anyway, another reason I worry is because this is the 3rd time she changed the name and she isn't exactly known for her tact. We'll see! Can't wait to see the birth announcement for Melody
