"tummy hurts"

I think my DD has a molar coming in (I posted yesterday). At 1st she complained about her mouth hurting. Now she keeps saying "tummy hurts" and has loose stools. I took her to the dr to rule out strep and other stuff. The dr was unclear on if teething can cause a tummy ache or she also has some sort of bug. I wish I knew what to do for her. I gave her some gingerale (bad, I know). Any other ideas how to soothe her tummy? Thanks

  • The BRAT diet usually helps. DS has had toast, bananas, apples, apple sauce. We have given him some gatorade with water. He got sick this AM after drinking milk so I am not giving him anything heavy.

this exactly... every time my daughter gets sick I lay off the milk for a few days- our ped said that if a child is sick the milk can induce vomiting and diarrhea.

Pedialyte mixed with water, crackers, no dairy. I have also tried giving my DD1 some of DD2's gripe water when I had it laying around the house and it seemed to help a little.
