Trying to Get Pregnant

Meds during 2WW??

Hi all! On phone at work and can't scroll through all the pages to see if this has been asked. I just entered my 2WW and my poor husband is sick. Like 100.0 fever, chills, throwing up. Do you all take airborne or anything like that during your 2WW to avoid getting sick?? With my chemical pregnancy last month, I'm so paranoid I'm going to do something that will screw implantation up. I know people drink til it's pink, and I'm just wondering if that rationale applies to medicine as well. Thanks!!!

  • Its probably fine, but I personally try to avoid anything extra if its not absolutely needed.

I don't really believe that airborne stuff works

  • It's my understanding that Airborne and Emergen-C are just loads of vitamins. I wouldn't worry about taking something like that in the 2ww. You could always call your OB's or Doctor's office for some reassurance.

They are, but remember vitamins aren't necessarily 100% safe. You can be "poisoned" by too much of a good thing, too! Those that aren't water soluable can store up, and too high of concentrations can hurt things, including baby. To be safe I try to avoid this during the 2WW, but I don't know how over-the-top that is in terms of being cautious. Best bet is to research each component online and see if an overage of each specific vitamin/mineral is dangerous. I'm too lazy to do that so I avoid them (easy since I don't believe they really work)
