Camera NTTGP

So DH is in Paris for an airshow for work, and has lost our camera....I am on my 2nd Cannon Powershot camera. Just bought this one 2 years ago. Anyone have any recommendations on their camera that they love?  I liked my cannon because it was small. TIA

You wouldn't like my monster Nikon D300... but I wouldn't mind having a Nikon CoolPix for just keeping with me all the time. They are super small and thin and take great pictures!

I have a Cannon 30D which is huge but awesome.  I also have a little Nikon CoolPix just to keep with me always and it really does an awesome job.  I've also seen some awesome stuff from the new Sony Panoramic Camera, I kinda want one of those.

Im a Canon girl myself..I have the 5d Mark II, 40d, Rebel, and for a point and shoot I have the powershot! If you have had that.. then I would recommend sticking with it.. its a great camera!!

I agree.  I was originally all about the Canon s95 for my dad because of the almost slr-like features of the camera, but I tried out the Sony HX9V and realized the picture quality and color is very very nice.  The panoramic photos are really cool too. 

The shooting modes are very easy to use and almost fool proof, and you can adjust in manual mode without fiddling through a long menu.  I ended up picking this camera up for my dad instead because of the ease of use and picture quality without flash.  Also, Sony has done away with the memory stick with this camera.  You can use SD cards with this one.

Thanks everyone! DH is more upset about losing the pictures he has taken rather than losing the camera! OH MY!
