- How old is your child(ren)?
- How much do you pay for their childcare/week? Full-time or part-time?
- Where is the daycare located? Is it an in-home or a center?
- Aside from care, what do they provide (food, snacks, formula/milk, diapers, wipes)?
Re: What do you pay for daycare?
1) He's 18 months
2) Full time $145/week
3) Daycare is in Parkville/Carney/Perry Hall and is an in-home
4) She provides his meals and milk. The parents rotate providing snacks for the week. I send LO with milk from home because I'm a nut and I need his cups cleaned to my standards nightly. I also send diapers and wipes.
I'm also looking into switching A when she turns 2 in October. So far I've found an daycare center in Abingdon/Edgewood that provides everything except extra clothes, sheets for cots, and lunches on Friday. The price is not bad $188 for full time. The center is located not far from my house and the hours are better. Plus they seem to have structure to their day, plus we feel she needs to learn a little too.
Full disclosure - I copied some of Kathryn's answers because we have the same center, but different locations.
- Aside from care, what do they provide (food, snacks, formula/milk, diapers, wipes)? Morning
and afternoon snacks and drinks (milk in the am, juice in the
afternoon).
Since DD is bf'd we don't avail ourselves of snacks. We provide diapers, wipes, etc. They were one of the few places that had the hours we needed. We may end up switching to the local Y when DD is 2, since she will probably go to school with those kids and she'll be able to get to know kids in our area. The price is definitely less than what we are paying now.I have nothing but love for our daycare center. They have been a godsend. All of DDs teachers learned how to do DD's physical therapy and did her exercises with her every day. She would not have progressed nearly as quickly if they hadn't been willing to work with her.
Also, when DD got her orthotic device all of the teachers and floaters, the office staff and the owners all asked us to teach them how to put it it on, take it off and how to care for it.

A summer activiy fee is required (minimal) for children 2 and up. (If I recall correctly it is $1 per year, per week, so a 2 year old pays $2 a week and so on.)

I answered based off of our original plan for care but since then my aunt has offered to watch the baby for about $15 less a day two days a week, so the baby will be with my aunt two days and the in-home provider above three days a week.

How old is your child? 2 next month
How much do you pay for their childcare/week? 177 per week, full-time
Where is the daycare located? AA Co
Is it an in-home or a center? center
Aside from care, what do they provide (food, snacks, formula/milk, diapers, wipes)? We have to bring in mostly everything which is part of the reason the price is so low compared to other centers in the area (I only paid $234 a week when he was in the infant & toddler rooms). Which is fine with me, I would actually prefer to pack the food he eats every day. Although in his new room, they do provide a morning and afternoon snack.
