I kind of like Harrison, but I really dislike the nn Harry.
Same here. Harrison is a top 3 name for us. We have a good friend with this name and he would be tickled pink if we named DS this (he's 60, gay, and not planning on having kids). But I seriously hate the NN Harry. Harrison is our friend's MN, so he originally went by his FN (David), then changed to Harry for a short time, but has been Harrison for most of his life. Problem is that our DS's MN will be either Bland or Dwyer, which are a bit more difficult to pull off as a first name.
It is okay but NMS. It gets points for not being weird and being spelled correctly. i know a 4 1/2 yo Harrison that is always Harrison...never Harry. His older brother is Cannon (Just in case you were interested LOL).
