Anyone experience kidney stones while pregnant? possible TMI

So I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago for what I thought could be a UTI starting. They checked my urine & there was some blood, but I've had blood in my urine since about 29 Weeks (that I know of). Anyways, they gave me antibiotics, & they seemed to work. But this morning I woke up at 3:30am needing to go pee (go figure LOL) & felt something come out! Kinda hurt, but not really. So naturally, I looked & saw a SMALL round tan/brown thing that sunk to the bottom of the bowl. Curiosity got the best of me & I of course googled it & found this:

The incidence of calculi during pregnancy is 1 in 1500. Pregnancy does not pose an increase risk to the formation of urinary calculi. The signs and symptoms of renal colic are the same in the nonpregnant patient, but these symptoms may mimic the symptoms of pregnancy itself. Symptoms may include flank and abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, and irritable voiding symptoms.

There is a 5% incidence of bacteruria and 20-40% of these patients will develop symptomatic UTI's or pyelonephritis. Most renal calculi are diagnosed during the second and third trimester of pregnancy. The hallmark of therapy is conservative treatment, since 50-67% of these patients will pass their stones spontaneously. Conservative management includes analgesics, hydration and close follow-up.

Despite these measures, some pregnant patients with stones may have persistent pain, fever or an obstructed kidney requiring surgical intervention. Surgery during the first trimester can result in spontaneous abortion. Surgery during the third trimester can result in premature delivery. During the second trimester, there is a window of opportunity for surgical intervention should the patient require this.

My only problem is that I haven't had any vomiting or been in a lot of pain. Just some SLIGHT nausea once & of course the symptoms of a possible UTI. So I was just curious if any of you ladies have experienced this as well. TIA!!!!

I had kidney stones and chronic UTI's throughout the pregnancy, which I did not have before pregnancy.  The kidney stones were bad enough that I needed to go to the ER to get IV morphine.  

 

Sounds unusual, I would call your doctor just to be safe at this point since you are so far along and UTI's/Pain can bring on labor.  Maybe a just a change in antibiotics is necessary or you do have very small stones.  '

yup I've had several stones this pregnancy. They have ranged in symptoms and severity. Some made me cry in pain with a lot of nausea and blood, and some were just like a bad UTI

Thanks ladies! I'm just not so sure if I really did pass a stone....I just can't get over the fact that it wasn't that painful like you both described. But then again, WTH was it that came out? LOL
