I am scedules for my c section and I was just wondering what was most comfy to wear. I want to nurse but know I will be a lil in pain and uncomfortable to lay it on me what worked for you clothing wise..
I've got a black tank on (from last night prior to c section) with a shelf bra built in, and I just wear a gown or robe when going to NICU. When I get the catheter out and the bleeding slows I may attempt black yoga pants. We'll see

Yoga pants that I wore at the end of my pregnancy, sports bra (I didn't nurse), t-shirts and a wrap maternity sweater. After the first day I put on regular clothes so I could get out of bed.
I wore nursing tanks and yoga pants with a hoodie on top. Take shoes that are easy to get on and off (my walking consisted of going up and down the hallway to the NICU to see the babies). I wasn't prepared for how much my feet swelled and they wouldn't fit in the Crocs I took. Take a pair of flip flops.
I mostly wore the hospital gown. I also brought nursing pajamas-I got them at Motherhood-it was elastic banded pants and sleeveless top. I also brought a robe to put over the hospital gown-it was a little more comfortable for when I went to see the girls in the NICU.

it was too painful and uncomfortable for anything else. I had 2 c/s and I found both times it was just easier to wear the hospital gown for when the nurses/docs need to check you, nursing, bathroom ,etc. Just easier all around, especially with the twins!

This for me too. I had slippers I would slip on to walk the halls. It felt really good to put on real clothes and get out of the gown after getiing my cath out. Good luck!

I wore the hospital gown for the first day and a half until my catheter was out and then wore a nursing tank and PJ shorts with a draw string. I just got an XL pair because I had no idea how big my stomach would still be. These worked out perfectly because I could loosen or tighten them as much as needed. I was so happy to have something beside the hospital gown and it made me feel like a real person again.

Hospital gown was easier with all the bathroom visits. I wore yoga pants and a top home.
U/S#1 showed 2 heartbeats!
U/S#2 showed Baby A's heartbeat was 157 and Baby B 's heartbeat was 183!
U/S#4 showed Baby A is a Boy (heartbeat 161) and Baby B is a Girl (heartbeat 159)!!
I had 2 motherhood maternity dresses that I wore...they were super easy for trying to nurse and for bathroom trips and doc checks...but after the first 24 hours post c-section I really just wanted out of the hospital gown (of course I was in it for 48 hours prior for a failed induction, so it was time for a change for me...) GL!
I personally hate hospital gowns. I brought a couple of roomy nightshirts/night gowns from home. The biggest thing I liked about these was that for the first few days, I didn't have to worry about pulling anything up when I went to the bathroom, since bending over was a challenge. It also allowed the nurses easy access to check the incision, and bleeding. Speaking of which, I also found the hospital mesh underwear to be the best! I even took a couple home with me. I never wore my own underwear at the hospital.
After the first couple of days, I was up walking around, and spent most of my time in the NICU. That's when I wore my yoga pants, and tank tops, and brought a wrap sweater to throw on too. Also, make sure you have some shoes that are easy to slip on, and are roomy or have some stretch to them. Swollen feet, post c-section are fairly common. I ended up having DH bring his Adidas flip flops to the hospital for me, since the strap that goes across the foot was velcro and I could adjust it to fit my elephant feet.

I wore the hospital gown and the mesh panties the hospital provided. It was easier for when the docs and nurses needed to check the incision and for when I had to use the bathroom.
Unable to even.

As soon as they took the cath out, I took a shower and put on a fresh nightgown that I'd bought for the hospital. After the first day, I was wearing yoga pants and nursing tanks. Like PP, I hated the hospital gown and couldn't wait to put on my own clothes and feel like a real person again.
I wore yoga pants and a nursing tank and zip up hoodie once I was allowed to shower. It's personal preference but I was like some of the PP's and could not wait to get into my own clothes. I also wore slippers or flip flops when I went down to the NICU.

This. I didn't get dressed until we were released and it was in the same maternity clothes I wore in, since they were big by then, they were comfy to leave in.
The hospital gown and a nice black robe. I bought some of those socks that look like Mary Janes that have the sticky stuff on the bottom to wear around. I also loved the hospital mesh underwear and even wore those for the first 4 weeks I was at home. (For some reason all of my underwear hit exactly were my scar was and it was uncomfortable!)

Hospital gown for the first 2 days and then my own clothes (yoga pants, fitted tank-no bras yet, zip up mesh shirt-easy pumping access) for the last two days.
My mom bought me some Large PJ pants...They were kinda big on me so it wasnt tight on my incision and loose enough for the nurses to peak at my incsion. I wore nursing tank tops on top and had lightweight zipper hoodies to wear over them if i was to walk in the hallways or go to the NICU. It worked great.
I have alot of friends or got the nursing gowns at MOtherhood and really liked them. I HATE gowns and they twist all around me, but thats another option.
I had twins 4 months ago & I wore breastfeeding night gowns from motherhood , comes with matching robe ) good luck with your 2 bundles ...btw the greatest gift I recd were 2 boppy LOUNGERS !! life savers
Being 36 hours out from my section, I have to say that yoga pants have been a lifesaver. They hold the pad on the incision site without being too tight, and it's nice to be able to sit in the NICU and hold babies without worrying about flashing people!

I bought a couple of mothermood maternity nursing nightgowns and matching robes. I loved it. It made me feel so much better being dressed in something nice especially when we took pictures. I personally HATE hospital gowns.

Re: c-section mamas with twins what did you wear at hospital
I wore the hospital gown
I usually just wore a tank top and those mesh hospital underwear. If I had to get out of bed I threw on my robe.
Definitely yoga pants for when you need to go home. Good luck!
