I think DD is ready to cut down on her total sleep needs but not sure what to do.
We start her bedtime routine around 8-815. Probably leave the room around 830. She will lay in there & play & talk for forever.
745-8am wake up
1230-145 nap
830 bedtime
If she falls asleep by 930 that's roughly 12 hrs total. Is that right?
Re: Talk to me about your almost 3 yr olds sleep
Maybe we should try to put her down earlier at night & see what happens. She's still awake (almost out) & it's 930. Maybe she's overtired? She might sleep 1 hr 45 min for nap but never ever more than that.
my DD is 2.5 and has been getting 11 hrs of sleep per 24 hr period for quite a while now (maybe 11.5 if we're lucky). it's all she needs... as much as i wish she needed more. it's torture to listen to friends whose children sleep 13+ hrs per day... sigh if only! my DD also goes to sleep by about 9:30 (sometimes 10pm), even though we're laying down with lights out by 8:30ish. i tried pushing lights-out till 9pm to see if she'd be more tired and go to sleep faster but it didnt matter.
if she seems happy and playful during the day, then you're good!
here is a chart - you're well within the normal range for LO's age.

I love these two beautiful children!
I've noticed that DD is waking up more happy in the a.m. lately. Her sleep schedule is, in bed by 9:30 at the latest (previously, it was 8), wakes up between 7-7:30, and she naps from 1:30-4 (sometimes shorter) most days.
