TTC after 35

For DHEA users

I have a question for those that use DHEA. Have you found that it's messed with or lengthened your cycle? I've always been on a 27 or 28 day cycle but since going on DHEA in February the last three cycles seem to be really really long. I normally O around day 11-13 but last month was day 29 and now it's day 19 and nothing yet. Plus I keep getting highs on my CBEM for 10 plus days w/ no peak. Not sure if I should be concerned or not? We're hoping to do our first IUI next month and am wanting to avoid meds but am now questioning that. I thought alot of this was due to taking Clomid back in March but am not sure anymore. Any thoughts or stories would be much apppreciated.

Re: For DHEA users

  • No changes for me. I usually O from CD10-12 with the cycle being 25-26 days. DHEA hasn't changed that.  The only cycle I did not get a peak was in March when I had a cyst (from clomid in February).

  • I've heard that Clomid can cause future non-medicated cycles to be longer - ie. take longer to O.
