40+ Day Cycle

I had a mc back in Dec and since then my cycle has been 40+ days which makes it very difficult. I have no idea what my normal cycle is because I was super irregular before going to the pill, went on to be more regular. I got pg with DD the 1st try and then pg 2 months after going off again. Now I am a mess and very frustrated. We stopped trying because I changed job and was hoping to not stress and I would get more regular but not happening. Anyone else have a very long cycle?

Me. I am on day 28 and probably ovulated yesterday or today based on OPKs. Temps will confirm in a few days. Sucks when TTC but awesome if not trying. I just buy the really cheap OPKs from earlypregnancytests.com and test and test and test I finally get my postive. Been charting for months TTA. This is the first cycle TTC.

First, I am very sorry for your loss.

To answer your question, I just went off BCP in April. My first cycle off was about 45 days. I am on day 34 of cycle 2 now, with no conclusive evidence of O. I am really frustrated with my chart because it's looking annovulatory to me. The good news is that there are plenty of charts on FF where women have long cycles and O - some of them even go on to get BFP's. HTH! GL!

Right now I am on CD36...last month my cycle was 28 days...this is only my second month off of BCP so that could be why. But yes it is so hard...I didn't chart this month so I am not sure when I ovulated so I don't even know when to expect my period. Definitely will be charting next month (if no BFP this month!)

Yes, I believe my last cycle was 53 days. This cycle isn't looking any better. I'm just thankful that I ovulated last cycle. It's extremely frustrating to have long cycles, and when they are irregular it's even more frustrating. As pp said, fertility friend gives me hope, since there are a bunch of charts on there showing long cycles and late ovulation with BFP's.

So sorry for your loss.

My cycles are more along the lines of 6-8 months +. I had some spotting a little over a month ago, but it was hardly considered even that. It's probably just going to take your body some time to get back to normal. Anyways, you're not alone! Best of luck!
