Anyone else feel like you are in one of those? What I mean is, the very few times I have talked about TTC with my likeminded friends, they look at me like I am speaking another language when I mention temping, charting etc. I get the sense that they feel it is a little extreme or something, so I have clammed up about it since. To each their own, and I personally find comfort in knowledge of my patterns and charting temperatures. Do you find you are either the only one, or one of the few among your friends that know about and/or utilize BBT and FF?

My Blog:

I have to say I used to be like your friends. DH and I were just going to "let it happen" and only start charting/temping if we had trouble. The more I learned about it, the more I liked it and I truly love knowing more about my own body, let alone the benefits while TTC.
I have one friend who just found out she's pregnant and she did chart while TTC, but she's the only person IRL that seems to understand the charting process.
Me: 30, DH: 33 Married 8/3/08
BFP 7/16/2012 (8th cycle), EDD 3/27/2012, Delivered 3/24/2013 - IT'S A BOY!
my older sister has one ovary...the one ovary actually compensates for the other ovary being gone and ovulates every month
I told my older sis about temping/charting and she acted like it was an extreme measure to only be done if you're having TTTC ::sigh::
~after 34 cycles we finally got our 2nd little bundle of joy~

My IF blog
I just got two of my friends who are thinking about having kids to definitely start temping. They told me I would have to teach them all that I know, since I'm an "expert". I told them they will be reading TCOYF before class begins.
The chamber of secrets has been opened!
Awesome- too funny!
I have one friend that understands. I love it. It worked for 2 years when not trying to get pg and then worked after 3 months when trying to get pg. I hope it works this time.
My mom thought I was out there too.

Just keep swimming.
Most of my friends know that DH and I want kids in the near future and just think we are not 'not trying'. Few know that we are activly trying. My BFF is awesome with us TTC and asks questions about temping and ovulation all the time. She is super supportive. She's looked at my charts with me and is interested in the whole TTC process. Her BF is going to propose soon (he told me) and they want to have kids soon after they get married, so she's eager to learn
But yes, I also have other friends who think it's stupid and a waste of time b/c 'it will happen when it happens'. I personally love temping/charting. But I'm a huge nerd and love learning...
My argument to them: what does it hurt?
I'm so glad I chart! I'd have been caught totally off guard this month! I actually have fertile signs 5 days earlier than the last 3 cycles. Which sucks considering I may have O'd as early as CD11. Still waiting on my temps to show.
