I posted a couple weeks ago about DD1's eyes seeming "off" to me. I
was right. She has a wandering eye and needs glasses. We picked them up
today and she's surprisingly doing pretty well with wearing
them...though it's only been about an hour!

My DD's eye was like this and OPs. They first tried fixing the eye with glasses and said that if it didn't improve, they would have to patch the good eye. For us, the glasses did the trick and there was no need for the patch!

Oh she's so cute! I love kids in glasses.
My husband's nephew had a wandering eye and was eventually put into a patch, so they still do it, but I suppose it's based upon the specific case. I don't know if they tried glasses and weren't successful or went striaght to the patch.
SOOOO cute!
And I can tell from the pic that they're not slowing her down a bit, huh? hee hee
Another Mom of a glasses wearer here too.
Hope the transition goes smoothly for you!
If you end up needing to patch lemme know - we found a GREAT patch that works much better than the sticky kind.
(Jace doesn't have a lazy eye but has one with much better vision than the other so we patched the better eye to let the worse eye develop more)
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
Thanks everyone
Yep, patching is still an option... they said our options were glasses, patching, surgery, or eye therapy (like physical therapy for the eye). With DD, we caught it early and it's not too bad so they're hoping the glasses will work for her. We go back in 3 weeks to see how it's going.
howleyshell, thanks! If DD ends up needing a patch, I'll definitely ask you about that site! I have a feeling patching would be a major fight with her
