Re: Sheena

  • I just said that I'm all for people posting questions about temping, charting, OPKs, etc. But that when someone is worried, scared, etc about something going on with their body then they should call a nurses line or their doctor. Its common sense to do so. I don't think all questions on TTGP are created equal.

I just think it's a tad bit hypocritical to throw out the "zomg why are you asking internet strangers!!!! call your doctor" line. No one threw that at the girl who asked about Humira and you would never, ever say that to someone would posted about Clomid. I will agree with you that the OP was a tad silly, however this board and BOTB are always going to get those posts.

Didn't you post about a BFN and testing when you were 8 DPO yesterday? Pot meet kettle.

Do your research first, Lurky. FF has moved my CHs several times, and the general consensus in chat and on a previous post was that I was somewhere between 11-13dpo. Nice try, though.

Well hypocritical would mean that I myself have posted a "omg am i preggo" post and expected people to cater to me, and then turned around and told someone to call their doc. Which I haven't.

But either way, I would probably say that to anyone who was concerned about their body. If someone was taking IF meds and posted on here about a medical issue, you bet that I'd still say call your doc (and they'd probably get flamed for not being monitored properly). At that point its probably even MORE important to call your doc.

My point is that you got snarky with her because she was new. Which is fine, just own that. You are a hypocrite because you do not respond to every post that asks a medical question with the "call your doctor" line.

No, I'm not going to "own" something that isn't the case. I was actually not even THAT snarky, I really did want her to answer the question. I said what I said because the post was stupid, not because she was new. Now that I will own.

WTF are you talking about? Your posts make no sense whatsoever. By the way, you do realize that an ellipsis is not the correct punctuation for the end of a sentence, right? Oh wait, I forgot you possess super, scholarly writing skills.
