Back from the RE (long)

in Trying to Get Pregnant

MH and I went to meet with the RE.  He was very nice and went over all of our test results with us and said with the exception of my low(er) progesterone, we great on paper.  He said it it his job to get us pregnant and that after 2-3 failed cycles with one treatment he likes to move on to the next. 

So here's what we did/will do:

*The RE says he's confident I'm Oing, but I have an "issue" with it since my progesterone is low.

*I had an obsurd amount of vials of blood taken and had an internal u/s done.

*Friday I go in for SHG on Friday; this is the saline ultrasound that checks the shape of the uterus/uterine cavity.

*Next Wednesday I go back for another u/s and more b/w.

*July 8th we meet and discuss a game plan at which time he'll present options as well as give us our projected success rate %.

*I found out my insurance covers everything up to a DX and then nothing but for whatever reason they do continue to cover b/w and ultrasounds which I'm VERY VERY happy about. 

So basically, 2 more weeks of testing then a "where to go from here" July 8th!  I'm very excited

    That's great news!  You are vey lucky that your insurance continues to cover your u/s and such.

    Yes I am and I am very thankful.  One of the first things I said to MH when we left was how shocked I was we had so much coverage!

    Yay for having a plan!  And thank you for posting this and giving us a glimpse of how things work;  I have my first RE visit in about 3 weeks, and I'm wondering what to expect.  This was really helpful!

    It may be a bit different for everyone.  Our RE gave us the option to hold off on testing and think everything over and start next cycle.  However, I was on the last "ok" day in my cycle (CD 5) to do testing and my fear was we'd be OOT when I start my period next month.
