The college payment post below got me thinking- with a baby now on the way I think it's high time DH and I step up and get our money in order. I am SO clueless on the whole investing money thing- stocks, bonds, mutual funds, 401k's, they all make my head spin. So what is the purpose of a a financial advisor? Do you have to pay this person? Can anyone rec someone who we can meet with and just make sure we're where we want to be with our money? Can they also help with life insurance? Sorry so many questions! We are both totally comfortable with our savings but I can't help but think that there are probably smarter things we could be doing with our money. We live on the west side but we can really go anywhere. Thank you!
