And also, what did you introduce first? The Babies are eating purees and breastmilk right now. I just want to be sure that I dont miss the boat with table foods.
At 6 months he would do the Gerber puffs but our first real "solid" food was yogurt at 7 months followed by cherrios about a week or so later. Then we moved onto really soft fruits (bannanas were a huge hit). By 9 months, he was eating more table food.
I just started purees at 7 months, and will be thinking about adding table foods (puffs, cherrios, small and soft pieces of fruit) in the next few months.
Honestly? Whenever you start will be fine - your babies will let you know if they are not ready?
Mine took a LOOOOOOng time getting the hang of table food and Alex still eats a good amount of purees. It was like 9/10 months when the idea of table food "clicked" for them.

At about 6-6.5 months we started with cheerios, puffs, and cottage cheese. And by 8 months she was fully eating table foods- she ate what we ate!

I want to say DD was about 7.5 months when I started offering finger food. We started with whole grain toast with fruit or veggie puree on it. And then moved onto super mushy carrots and other fruits/veggies. By 9 months, she was pretty much only on table food.
Brought to you by IVF, ICSI, limited fert, and oocyte cryopreservation. Because we're fancy like that.
We started solids at 6 months once she displayed signs of readiness for solids. We did Baby Led Weaning and went straight to table/finger foods and has self-fed from the get go.

Re: When did you intro table foods?
hmmm, are purees not considered "solids"?
We started Abbie on rice cereal at 5 months and added Level 1 carrots and bananas a week or so ago.
Our pedi recommended we start at 5 months and no later than 6 months.
I guess that maybe purees are solid foods. I mean table foods - just couldn't think of the right word to explain.

oh, gotcha. :-) yeah, no table foods yet for Abbie. Just purees. She doesn't even have teeth yet. :-)
