Re: ***Pregnant again check in ***
Update: scheduled my c-section last week
2 months to go! I cannot wait to meet this baby!!!!
QOTW: I plan to BF. I BF with my first 2 also... although only 3 months with my first and then 7 months with my second. Might go a year this time...we shall see
I plan to breastfeed this infant which is the same as I did with Patrick. I breastfed him until a little over 2 1/2 yrs. I will do the same length of time if this LO continues to breastfeed to that point.
Other than that- nothing new with me. Will make the big ultrasound appt soon :-)
Update: Nothing new and exciting! Feeling pretty good, save for the swollen vag I mentioned earlier today. So far, it has been a nice cool summer up here in NY and I hope it stays like this. Today it is mid 70's and low humidity!
Feeding: I hope to EBF, but with Eliza I had to combo feed due to tongue tie and supply issues. Even with our issues, she nursed until 1yr. I am hoping and praying for a much easier BFing experience this time around! Fingers crossed!
Update - I can't believe I only have a little more than a month to go. Lately I've been feeling though as though the baby is going to come early, like earlier than 38 weeks which is when my other two decided to make their appearances. I have an ob check next week and then it'll be time to make some serious decisions regarding the delivery.
QOTW - I plan on formula feeding. I breastfed my first for almost three months but had supply issues and once I was back at work there was no way I had time to pump so with my second I decided to exclusively formula feed and it was wonderful.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
This Cluttered Life
QOTD: DD was breastfed until 8 months (when we weaned to cycle for this baby). I plan on BFing this baby, too, until maybe 9 months. Assuming I can. But I also think I will be much more relaxed and not freak out if I need to supplement with formula here or there.
Because we're fancy like that.
Update: Nothing too exciting here. Baby flipped so she is no longer breech. I have been having a lot of painful movements which I never had with DD, but my OB says is normal. I get one more u/s (next week) before my c section (in 5 1/2 weeks)!
OH and I finally got my nursery furniture and had to return it all!! The crib was the wrong color and the dresser was cracked. Hopefully the new stuff will get here soon, starting to worry a little. DD's room was well done by now.
QOTW: I am going to try to BF but will also supplement. Had a nightmare BFing with DD and she lost of ton of weight, had to supplment then she refused to nurse etc. I've heard supply can be better the 2nd time (I never got a "supply" at all the first time).
update- not much new, GTT this Friday, so hope I pass.
How will this LO be fed? (BF, FF, mix) Is this the same way previous LO(s) were fed or are you trying something new? I will try to BF DD, but I could never get DS to latch and EP for 7mo., So in my head I'm expecting the same thing and am prepared for it. I almost think I might prefer pumping, only b/c I am used to it and it is nice allowing someone else to feed while I get some sleep or whatever instead of the feeding on demand. Either way, we'll see, but it will either be BF or EP.
Update: My due date is January 13.
This LO will be BF. I was able to BF DS for a full year and I hope to do the same this time around. I had to EP for a good portion of that time -- this time around I hoping to nurse more vs. pumping.
QOTW:
How will this LO be fed? (BF, FF, mix) Is this the same way previous LO(s) were fed or are you trying something new? I assume that since I really was unable to BF with DS I will not be able to with this either. It is hard to think about that right now....just want to get to 2nd tri.
I had ??? by my name....My due date is 2/3/12

Amaya was born on 6/9/11.
We've had tons of issues since she was born so we've decided to go with FF exclusively.
Not much new with me...had a good prenatal last Friday. Oh, and I have started feeling movement!

I plan to BF this child, just as I did Cal (for 27 months) - not sure it will last quite as long, though.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
I haven't updated in a long time! Vacation and business trip. All is well here. At our anatomy scan they found a cardiac arrhythmia but it resolved itself when we had an echo done last week. The little guy is moving around like crazy these days.
QOTW: I wasn't able to BF DS and EP'd for 3 weeks before I decided that wasn't for me. I would like to BF #2 but we'll see what happens. My milk never came in with DS but he also got off to a bad start (had to be intubated and have his stomached pumped, so he had a raw throat and wouldn't BF or take a bottle at first) and was tongue-tied. I'm hoping this time around we won't have those issues to deal with. However, I won't hesitate to supplement and strictly FF if necessary. Even if I can BF, I'll likely have to supplement anyways because I'm going back to work at 6 weeks this time around and don't plan on pumping (I hated it with a passion).
