Trying to Get Pregnant

Help please? - Charting and Temping - I don't have a clue

Good Morning!

Just got AF today and I want to start temping and charting but do not know where to start!  I am sure this is redundant but would still appreciate your expertise!

I am going to but a BT today and sign up for FF.  Then what?  Do I start tomorrow?  What time am I supposed to temp?

I appreciate your help!

FF has some awesome tutorials to look through that will help you a lot. :)

Also you will want to pick a time that you don't mind waking up at every day to take your temperature. For example, 6am works for me, but you do whatever works for you.

Some people chart through AF and others don't. Your first time around though, you might want to try it just to start getting in the habit.

  • This is my first cycle charting and officially TTC.

Read everything you can find on FF - it will likely answer most of them. I did have some more questions after I read it, and the ladies here were incredibly helpful clearing those up.

As far as temping, I chose 5AM. That is when I get up during the week and on weekends its really not bad to just temp and fall back to sleep. I did start on CD1 just to get used to waking up, not moving much, and writing the temp down. Figured that way, if I screwed up in the first few days it wouldn't matter.

    GL :)

  • YAY!  When I started temping I started on CD1 - even though temps will be nutty during AF, it will help you get used to doing it every morning.  Click on my ticker and it will take you right to FF to sign up.  Like the other ladies already said, the tutorials are great and it's really user friendly.  Good luck!
