The Crib is Officially Gone :(
Over a week ago we went and bought a twin bed for DS2 but had to wait for the mattress to come in. We took him to pick out his bedding (he picked Toy Story), and the whole week he was asking when he could sleep in his Toy Story bed. DH picked up the mattress on Friday and set up his bed, and when we came home Friday evening DH told him to go look at the surprise in his room. He went upstairs and was screaming "my Toy Story bed" over and over. DS1 was in on the excitement saying "you have a big boy bed just like me!" He slept great in it over the weekend with no problems. It seems like we waited a little longer to transition out of the crib, but it was my fault since I was not ready to let go yet. We have had the crib up since late 2006, so it was a little bittersweet, but I was so happy to see him so happy. DS1 was excited when we got him his bed, but it was definately a different feeling this time around. They grow too fast!
