PIP First bath! Such a disaster!

So his cord finally fell off on Wednesday and we waited until today to give him his first real bath just to make sure he was healed and such.

Ohmigoodness!

He screamed bloody murder the entire time and decided to kick and thrash splashing water all over the entire bathroom!

As soon as we were done and got him in his towel he calmed down and was cooing and happy again, but I'm pretty sure the neighbors could hear him for the 5 minutes he was in the tub!

Awwww!  I think most first baths (or first several) are like that.  But most babies end up liking it eventually.  I can't see your picture - try reposting?

  • Cute pics!  Our LO screamed through the first bath but quite enjoyed the next two, so hopefully yours will learn to love them.

  • A trick my MIL told me about that works for us, turn the shower on hot and steam up the bathroom first so it's cozy and warm. Our LO is happy as a clam.

  • Our first bath was the opposite. He seemed to love it. The disaster during ours....poop everywhere. Then we rewashed him and then he pooped while wrapped up in the towel. Then again on the changing table. Then some pee went a-flyin...I think I'd rather have the neighbors hear him scream for 5 minutes instead of the poop everywhere! Haha
That towel is so cute. All our towels with cute hoods on them seem HUGE.
  • Was the water warm enough?  It took me a couple of tries before I realized the water was too cold for him!

Ours ALWAYS poops in the towel. It's seriously ridiculous. She adores bath time though.
