Well, my doppler came in the mai today and I left work not feeling well. DH is working all day and night, so I tried the doppler out myself. I actually found the heartbeat! Or I think it was...it sounds like wow, wow, wow. So I called DH and he was just in awe hearing it. FYI...we have never "heard" the heartbeat even with first pg b/c u/s machine has no sound. I got the doppler that shows the heartrate and that was all over the place, so I'm guessing the baby did not like me pushing on him. lol.
That's totally normal for the heartrate to be all over this early, right?
Re: OMG!
Congrats on finding the heartbeat! That is awesome!
Actually the baby's hb should be pretty consistent. If you are getting widely varying numbers, you are probably "losing" the signal a bit and getting your own h/b mixed up with the baby's. You might also be hearing your uterus, which always makes a "wow wow" sound. The baby's hb for this far along should be in the neighborhood of 160 and sounds like "whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh" quite fast.
Did you doppler come with a CD of sounds so you can tell which is which?
I think it is if the baby is moving around. How fast were the bpm?
That is so awesome!! I am so excited to get mine. It should come tomorrow.
That's so awesome that you found the heartbeat!
My doppler is due to arrive on Monday, so I will be 10 weeks 4 day the first time I try it out too, and I am really hoping I can hear it!
congratulations! ?that's so great!?
I read somewhere, and it helped, that the baby's heartbeat should sound like galloping hoofbeats. Like bumbumbumbum. My own h/b sounds more like ocean waves wowowowow.
Gosh, it's hard to explain in writing!
Congrats on finding the heartbeat!
I haven't found mine just yet.. probably due to my big tummy before baby ugg
