210 lbs and ttc...?

hi iam 22 years old and 210 lbs iam considered overweight,i have a 3 year old son already but before i had him i use to weight 135 and now after 3 years i gained a lot of weight iam ttc right now but iam scared i wont be able too..has any one been thru this weighing 200 lbs or more and getting pregnant fast?? i really need some good and honest advice to calm my nerves about not being able to get pregnat cause of my weight...iam really looking forward to bby #2...thanks!!!

I cannot relate personally, but I know that you should be within a target range BMI to maximize your chances of conception. Just google 'BMI caculator' and enter your height and weight; it will show you what is idea for you.

It's always great to be in your ideal weight range but not a reality for the large majority of women. Lots of women at your weight and alot more get pregnant. Good luck

Overweight people get pregnant regularly.  If you're truly concerned though, you could always start eating healthier, watching portion control and try to incorporate some additional exercise into your routine.  It will set the tone for a healthy pregnancy and you might lose some of the weight you're worried about in the meantime.

I am 206lbs & TTC #3. We conceived the first two when I was around 180lbs, both kids in three months each of TTC.

I am wondering the same thing... I weigh about 180 I think (I honestly haven't weighed in so long!.. but I'm a size 14). Many of my friends have had good luck with TTC and they are heavier than I am. 

It never hurts to lose some weight though. I'm not doing rigorous workouts, but I'm walking a lot and - if nothing else - it's boosting my self-confidence and making me happier and feel better/more energetic.

ideally - I'd like to lose some weight so I can be one of those "cute pregnant ladies." 

That said - I should get to walking now lol.

I am around 210 and I've gotten pregnant twice.. neither of them stuck but I was able to conceive.   Just because you don't get pregnant "fast", doesn't mean it is because of your weight. It takes people time to conceive.

My weight comes into play when talking about fertility drugs, depending on the time of day, I am 1-4lbs over the suggested weight limit for fertility treatments so I am working to get that down where a fluctuation won't matter.

With all the typos, run on sentences, blatant disregard for the Caps key, having a baby at 19, then trying again at 22, I am tempted to call MUD on this one. But it's very borderline because nothing is too flammable here...

Lurking but- I am quite overweight and got pregnant while on birth control and antibiotics. So getting pregnant without even trying is probably pretty quickly.
