I was told before labor you get flu like symptoms like diarrhea and puking. I am feeling that today. I went out for lunch today and got a smoothie and they put whipped cream on it, I scooped off what I could but some could have snuck down into the smoothie. I am lactose intolerant but not to the point where I would feel this crappy over a tiny bit of whipped cream. I could hardly drive home because of the cramps but they were constant not coming and going like contractions. Could this be the beginning of labor or just an upset tummy? If it matters I lost my MP last night.
Re: Can I ask about "flu like symptoms" before labor?
Good luck!!! I'm excited for you. Can't wait to see pics.
I am actually feeling a bit better which is disappointing, probably just ate too much
This is how I started last week (6/5)....I thought it was something I ate or the flu, very achy and blah feeling....I got sick both ways and then had diarrhea all week. I ended up going into labor in the evening of 6/10. I am not sure if that was it but after I was sick Sunday night I noticed my belly getting harder more often during the week, not really "contractions" but just uncomfortableness. When I saw my doctor on 6/10 in the morning she said that some people never really have contractions that are painful until they are about 7-8 cm so I could be having contractions and not really know it...well sure enough that night the tightness and uncomfortableness got closer together and the next morning our little girl was here.
Good luck!!!
I hope this is the case for me! Last night at work I was so uncomfortable with tons of belly tightening and discomfort. my lower back and hips were killing me. I went down to L&D and they checked me, I was still only 2 cm and 50 % effaced but was showing some big contractions on the monitor that didn't really hurt. they sent me home with some meds to help be sleep and today I feel like crap. I hope things get moving!
Hey um I have never delivered a baby or been pregnant but I have friends who have and currently are pregnant and they have told me that when you lose you MP you will go into labor at any moment in time so good luck and congrats on the new baby
