DH vent-- looooong

So this morning, I took the boys in the backyard to do the D-A-D pictures for Father's Day. (Yes, absolutely last minute but we've been crunched for time.) Anyway, when we finish I try to come in the back door and surprise! Door is locked. The freakin' sliding glass door is effin' locked. I don't even know how that happened. Fine. So we go through the gate to see if the front door is unlocked from when DH left for "work" in the morning. (It's in quotes because it's not his real job, just a side thing he does on Saturdays for 2 hours.) Locked. Well shiiit. We're officially locked out. I go to a neighbor's to use the phone to call DH. I tell him we got locked out, to come when he can and that we'll be waiting on the front porch. The neighbor gives us a glass of water and we trek back to our porch. Not quite how I wanted to meet the neighbors but whatev. I'm really thanking God right now that our porch is shaded. [It's around 10:30 AM right now.]

So we chill on the front porch, eating the fruit snacks I had brought out as a bribery tool, and enjoy the ice cold water that lasts all of 30 seconds before A spills it. Awesome. Despite being locked outside, I'm still in pretty good spirits. 1) I've got 2 boys to entertain and keep calm and 2) it's not DH's fault I got us locked out of the house. We wait. I swear we've been outside for 30 minutes but I have no sense of time so I'm like "It's no big deal. He'll be here any minute" because he should have. Nope. Finally, our neighbors come back and ask if we need anything. I tell them "No, my husband should be here any minute." I ask how long it's been since we called. He tells me 45 minutes. WTF. I thank him and think "okay, no big deal. There must be traffic or something." Well by this time the boys are getting antsy. We're hot, we're hungry, A is tired. I see another neighbor and decide to call DH again for a status check.

I called twice. No answer. Then I'm beginning to worry. What if he got in an accident? How will I know? My phone is locked inside!

He calls back. I ask him where he is and he says "I'm on my way." WHAT?!? AngryHe says "Yeah, you told me to finish what I had to do..." Uh, no. I didn't say that. WHY WOULD I SAY THAT?!? I said "when you can" but that's code for "finish what you're working on right now then head on over" not "find the biggest project you could work on and take your sweet a$$ time." Now, I'm pissed. [It's 11:30 AM right now.]

While we're, ya know, still waiting, I feed A and he goes to sleep. Thank goodness. I try to distract T by looking at the spiders and whatever else is near our porch. And finally... FINALLY, DH arrives. At 11 freakin' 45. This makes me more mad because now I know it only would've taken him 15 minutes or so to get here. The boys and I could've been inside an hour ago! He tells T "I thought you were at the neighbor's house." Confused Dirty liar. But whatever, I'm so pissed I walk inside to take a shower.

The only upside to this morning? I'm really glad I didn't give him any sex this morning before work or I'd realllllllly be regretting that right now. Stick out tongue
