Tell me about Pre-Seed

I was browsing online to research the different kinds of Pre-Seed. I noticed that they have one in a tube that is just like KY. Do you put this on the penis like you would KY or do also insert it in the vagina. Also, which Pre-Seed do you prefer? Thanks! I'm totally new to this and just AF :-( today so I'm trying to plan for next cycle.

I use the Preseed that comes with the internal applicators. I have used it both ways though, both internally and just putting it on MH and using it that way. I like it, its really slippery though! A little goes a long way!

Hope OP doesn't mind if I piggy back with another Preseed question...

Is it supposed to actually help the chances of conceiving or is its purpose just to provide a lube that does not hinder one's chances of conceiving as other lubes do? In other words, if we are not already using lube, will using Preseed help any?

Some people use it internally to boost/supplement natural CM. If you don't get a lot of EWCM, the idea is that the preseed can provide a similar medium for the sperm to travel through on their way through the cervix (which is what EWCM is supposed to do in the first place).

There are a lot of women who say that the first month they use pre-seed they conceive. The reviews were high enough for me to try it myself this month. I'm DPO7 so I'll def. post if I get my BFP within the next week!

I like preseed internally as an addition to EWCM, just to be extra sperm-friendly.

I think it can help conception, especially if you don't have sperm-friendly CM.

I use the insert applicators. And Sheena is right, a little goes a very long way! I use less than half of what the tube recommends and it is still plenty enough for us. I love this lube and would use it even if we were not TTC. It's pricey but so worth it. This is also my first cyle using it so we'll see what happens.

If you are short on EWCM it can actually assist, for most people it is a lube that doesn't hurt. As PP have said, a little goes a long way. For us, who don't usually need lube at all, I tried half the recommended amount because I was having trouble with CM. Bad idea! DH couldn't feel any friction whatsoever and there was no babymaking that night!
