wallflowers from b&b

I admit my addiction to the wallflowers from bath and body works to make rooms smell good. I was wondering if it would be okay to put on in baby's room or if it's best to not have any smelly plug ins? I just want her room to smell good. What other options are there for fragance in the nursery?

Re: wallflowers from b&b

  • We have a wallflower in LOs room right now that MIL gave us at our shower. It smells soooo good, but I was wondering the same thing. Once he's here, is it ok to keep it in there?

  • I honestly don't know either, but I had to admit my obsession with them also.  DH just doesn't understand, but I love them!

  • Here's and interesting article, give it a read and decide if you want to leave them in the room of not. It is your child after all.

  • I got a pack of these deodorizers at Target

    Arm & Hammer Nursery Freshers

They're not air fresheners exactly, and they can go right in the diaper pail to neutralize the odor there. Or help out at least.

  • It's the fresh linen scent. I have never used the wallflower brand of plug-ins before, but since we got this at our shower I have been tempted to go in and get a few other scents. After reading that article, I may take it out of his room when he decides to make his appearance and just put it in another room in the house.

  • I know the NICU nurses told us not to wear any perfumes or even use scented detergents for our clothing, and since newborn lungs are sensitive, too, I wouldn't mess with adding any kind of perfume to the room at all. As an adult I suffer from respiratory issues with many "air fresheners", and I know my mom does too. Considering the things we do to keep our kids from having reactions to clothing and linens, it seems we should take the "no perfume" precaution extra serious when it comes to what's going inside their lungs!

I bought these as well! I plan to avoid air fresheners in LOs room though.

Ditto. I'll re-introduce our home plug in scents when LO is older and her lungs are more developed. Until then, we're deodorizing with baking soda. Not as fun, but her lungs are more important.
