I see more IF'ers! Please come in!

Hi ladies! I've been on the boards for a few weeks and I was pretty much the only IF'er but in the last few weeks I've started to see some more! I couldn't be happier for you all!

I was wondering if anyone wanted to start a check in or something. I know I'm still struggling with being IF and my mind is very much so in the IF world. Finally being pregnant is a big shock because I honestly thought it would never happen. I was on board with adoption and ready to start the process.

I've talked to some other IF friends IRL and they all had a lot of problems of making the switch from dealing with IF for years to finally being pregnant. It's not a world a lot of people have to navigate through and I'm finding it pretty hard at times. I thought a little extra support might be nice. I know I need some!

This is not to knock out or shun fertile women. So please don't take this as an exclusive club or idea. It's just a common tie that most of wish we didn't have but do and I know it's nice when someone "gets" it with only a few words. I hope I've explained this correctly, it's so hard and I'm trying not to offend anyone.

I am in the same place as you. I am terrified and nervous and stressed along with being thrilled and excited. It is so hard to go from saying I'm infertile, to I'm pregnant.

I've started posting on Pregnant after IF too, just a little, which you might like too! 

A check in here might be good! I know that I'll be on weekly appointments with the RE until about 8-10 weeks before they graduate me to the OB, and I think they said I'll have 2 u/s during that time too. So the IF pregnancy schedule is a little different than a non-IF pregnancy schedule.

I am here!  I know exactly what you mean.  Everyday, multiple times a day, I have to remind myself that I AM PG & need to remember to enjoy it.  For me this daily mantra has helped me to try to put IF on the back burner.

Ahhhh yay! I'm so happy you guys posted! I posted on Pregnant after IF but it seems like there is already a "group" of friends on there. I felt a bit out of place.

So clearly I've never done this before so if you guys have any ideas on how to proceed I'm all for it.

This post made me realize that we need a badge!  I know it is silly but I just feel we need something.  I just found this super cute photo called confused ladybugs...

I don't have photoshop, I have just been using photobucket to add font.  Any suggestions would be great.  But I think this photo might just explain it all!

Hey! I'm here too! Even though we got pregnant on a break cycle (although my dr. thinks my lap is why) I certainly feel like an infertile still. I think it's just hard for me to accept and trust my body to be pregnant when it's been so screwed up in the past. I think part of me also doesn't believe it's real yet and I have to keep reminding myself to stop worrying and just enjoy being pregnant.

I think a check-in or something is a great idea for some support!!

"Pregnant after IF" is good. Should we make it specific to Feb12?

TOTALLY right there with you. Everyone is asking if we're excited about our pregnancy and well ... of course we are ... it's just so hard to get our hopes up and excited after so many let downs in the past. Two and a half years, a chemical pregnancy, and $40,000 in IF treatments later and we are pregnant with our miracle baby! We couldn't be more thrilled! At the same time, however, this pregnancy is just so surreal! I think it will be quite a long time before everything sets in.
