My 1st time shipping a CD - priority mail or 1st class? HELP

I feel like a dummy asking this question.

I am planning on reusing one of those white plastic flimsy mailers to ship a CD.  I can do this, right?  Because I've received CD's in previously used mailers before.

Do you usually ship priority mail, or 1st class?

ETA: I was planning on using 1st class but am second guessing myself.

  • Thanks!

It looks like it's going to charge me delivery confirmation.  It doesn't give me the option on the screen I'm on to either select or deselect delivery confirmation.

  • 1st class unless it's over 13 ounces.  You need delivery confirmation if you're a seller and something goes wrong.  Paypal requires it for a dispute.

  • 1st class. Almost as fast and way cheaper (ex: 1 grovia shell was $1.80 first class or $6 priority) and it got there in 2 or 3 days 1st class.

History of IF and 2.5 years TTC. The day we were to start our first IUI we received a call that changed our lives forever and 10 month old Olivia joined our family. Shortly thereafter we got a surprise BFP and baby 2 is due July 5, 2012

  • Other people have answered the first class/priority question, but I will add that you can definitely reuse mailers UNLESS you are trying to use a priority mail mailer (turned inside out or whatever) to send first class.  They don't allow that and it can lead to your buyer being charged postage due *even* if it is reused and not new.  But as long as it is a normal white poly mailer or yellow bubble mailer or something else that doesn't say "Priority Mail" you're fine!
