Poop changes question

We are just starting solids and don't even think he's even swallowing much. He has started pooping every 3-4 days and his poop is changing. Right now it's turned creamy instead of watery/seedy. At what point do I need to start spraying? It washed out clean no problem this time but I don't want to press my luck. And what's a good price for a sprayer?
