Having a baby

At the hospital. Being induced for Pre-E. The floor is full and we got the last room. I have a feeling this is going to take FOREVER. Oh well. At least we get to meet our daughter soon! The only downside so far is that my family and his family are all here in the room staring at me, waiting for something to happen. It's WEIRD!

    Good luck! Hope she comes quickly, but just long enough that everyone goes and finds something to distract themselves with!

    Good luck! I hope everything goes smoothly : ) I hated having everyone staring at me. We had family in the room before my c-section, and I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotics. Everyone just stared, waiting for me to go into shock or something. I kicked everyone out after that! Can't wait to see pics : )

    Good luck! Hopefully you will get some rest tonight and things will happen quickly tomorrow. I was induced with DD and checked in the night before to receive cervadil(which didn't work), and at 7 my water broke on its own accord, they started me on Pitocin and DD was born at 5:12.  I would send everyone home, except DH, and tell them to just have their phone's nearby.  That way you can get some rest!

    Good Luck and hope for a smooth induction!  I second PP's kick 'em all out!

    ETA, I find it weird how people think you are a carnival side show when you have a baby, I don't think I'd make a very good Carnie!

    6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM 7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle! 9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.     Kick them out and enjoy your last evening as a twosome.  Soon you will be a family of three.  You and your DH need some time to enjoy alone.  Wishing you a happy and safe L&D.  I can't wait to see photos.
