$ Vent

I'm just feeling frustrated and overwhelmed right now and need to get it out.  I'll probably dd this later.

We have not had any financial issues at all lately.  Money left over after bills and everything to put some into savings and still do whatever fun stuff we need to.  So, why is it that as soon as I get pregnant and we have more doctor bills that I also have to spend lots of our savings and spending money for an OOT wedding, new windshield, tires, brakes, etc.  I just feel so frustrated that we haven't been having any issues but now that it's even more important for us to be stable, it's not.  DH just tells me not to worry about it, that we'll be back on track in no time.

Anyway, I'm just stressing out and needed to get it out.  Thanks for listening.

Re: $ Vent

  • This seems to always be the case for us. It goes in a vicious cycle. But, I always try to be thankful that the money is there when we really need it and then after, we just try to build it back up again.

    I totally understand your frustration, it always makes me want to pull my hair out.

  • When it rains, it pours.  I feel like this is always what happens to us, too.  Things will be going great and then BAM! The ceiling falls.

    I'm sorry you're frustrated, I hope the frenzy eases up soon.

  • I agree...it always seems to happen when you don't need it.  It will get better.  I've been thinking about you.  How did the interviewing go?

    Thanks.  Interviewing went well.  Out of the people I contacted, only one was interested and that was perfect because she was actually our teacher last year who was let go due to budget issues.  Everyone loves her and she is an amazing teacher.  It was also fun for me to be the one in charge of it all.

    Are you enjoying your summer so far?

  • It's okay.  It's tough getting back into being a full-time mom.  I'm not very good at it at the moment.  I also want to get some stuff done, but seeing that my entire room is packed up waiting for the okay that it will finally get moved, there's only so much we can do.

    That's cool that you got to rehire someone!!!

  • I know exactly how you feel. Last year in October DH was in a serious accident and hasn't been able to work since. He didn't have insurance so we have all his hospital bills piling up and all we have is my paycheck. (I was also 8 months pregnant at the time)

    We managed to get through it thanks to income tax and random checks in the mail(truely the grace of God IMO). But now slowly we are further and further behind. We don't have anything in savings, we have nothing to sell, we are just buried. So I've quit my job to stay home with the kids and in hopes DH will be able to find something SOON. Sorry to steal your post, but I do sympathize. It will all work itself out in the end. Just take one thing at a time and try not to stress.
