hungry/sick

Is anyone else always hungry, yet the thought of eating anything makes you gag? How does one get over this?

  • yes! I know that feeling. The only thing that seems to even work at all is to force myself to eat some toast or crackers or something else pretty bland. Oddly enough, nausea seems to hit most when my stomach is empty so if I just preemptively eat a small snack, it helps
  • Haha, yes and it's really weird, isn't it? I snack on a few pretzels, popcorn or crackers, and that usually gets me over the nausea part. Then I try to eat something good and fast, like a veggie or fruit or dairy.

It sure is. Some times I get to enjoy my food but after I'm done I feel like throwing up. I hate gagging. Yuck.

OMG. This exactly. And for added fun - when I do finally find something that I want to eat - I feel so crappy afterwards that I don't want to eat it again the next time.

My family is a Foreign Service family. Families like mine are posted in every corner of the globe. We live our lives away from family, friends and the conviences and comforts of home. We often live and work in dangerous places among those that misunderstand our intentions and purposes. Sometimes members of our ranks sacrifice our lives to further diplomacy.  Please remember that we serve too. And I'm always open to questions.
