random annoyance

A FB "friend" of mine (really, she went to school with C and we used to hang out in undergrad and now we run - literally - in the same circles) posted this on FB last night:

Storms are the perfect excuse for me time: Catching up on some reading, writing, job apps, coffee drinking, guitaring, puppy snuggles, and hitting the gym for some strength and pool time.

I'm still rolling my eyes about it, because she doesn't have a husband, doesn't have kids, and doesn't have a job. Nor does she have some super altruistic volunteer hobby. It makes me wonder what else her time could possibly be, other than "me time?"

haha I think this all the time when I read friends' fb status' because many of my high school friends are in that same arena in life. They are also the ones that do like one errand a day and then have facebook statuses about how rough their day was and how they could really use a drink...uhm pretty sure you have "a drink" every night and start your days at noon-- must be rough!

LOVE it!  My brother did this all the time when he lived at home (no rent), used my mom's car (no payment or insurance), worked only PT and dropped out of school.  Oh and I loved it when, being childless as he is, provides me with free (and certainly unsolicited) parenting advice.  Clearly he knows everything too!  Clearly we need people like this in the word though.  Otherwise, who would we laugh at?
