thanks HSArtTeach!
That's Spencer's
that's Cooper's
Totally easy to do and kinda fun actually.
Any ideas on what to do w/ the dead space? I'm not going to frame them, so don't go there.
I'm planning on Jay putting them in his office (he went to UT and is a huge fan so he has a ton of UT crap in his office at work). I don't really want to go through the extra work of framing them (plus, he didn't get me jackshit for mother's day and he's lucky he's getting these, damn it). Any thoughts?
Thanks again, HS, good idea!
Re: trying again...AW: father's day present
First, see if you can drag the pics and resize.
As for the dead space...you could put the boy's name that made it and the year.
You could write "Hook 'Em"
ETA: now that I can see them resized...I think that Spencer's could just have his name and the year and that Coop's could have that too, but also the Hook 'Em in the lower left corner since his has more negative space than Spence's.
Oh yeah...they look great!!
Aww, that's cute!
:-)
.... Frame 'em
If they're a standard size, just get cheapo frames from Ross or Walmart or something.
Otherwise, I like them as-is.
Damn my Aggie husband! Those are super cute, I'd love to steal the idea but I'm sure it would go over like a ton of bricks (unless I was resourceful enough to find an aTm emblem and maroon paint - which I'm not).
Anyway, they look great as-is, and those boys of your did a super job!
When 3 Became 4
Very nice! Those turned out great!
You could trim the edges to cut down on the blank space.
that's some awesome finger painting
love em!

My little ballerina - thanks Life in Motion Photography!
I printed out a pic online, then I cut it out, traced it on to contact paper and then cut that out. Stuck it on to the canvas and let the boys use their Crayola paint to fingerpaint. It worked great, I'm sure the tempra paint would work fine. Ok, I'm not sure, but I bet!
tempera would work fine. However, it will dry dull looking as that tempera's thing. I personally have never worked with tempera on canvas--the art snob in me says if I am going to buy a canvas, I am going to work with acrylic or oil. I usually only use tempera in my classes on paper.
