This is what I do.  If there is an easier way, someone chime in.

I put the picture on some kind of host.  I control/click on the picture (I am on a mac, so for pc it might be right click) so get the menu  to choose "view image".  I then copy the url and paste it into tinyurl.com to get the shortened url.  I then copy that.  On my post, I then click the tree icon, paste in the link, and the picture shows in my post.  I drag to resize.

Like I said, if there is an easier way, someone else chime in.

thanks, I figured out the posting part but didn't know about the resizing/dragging part, so that helped my pictures not be so freaking huge.
