Dear Self:
I realize you have a lot going on with an new job opporutnity, your mom's cancer, and a 5 1/2 month old, however, you need to really get your a$$ in gear or you could lose your current job. Go get some lunch, and on the way back please pick up some motivation as well.

2. I often have a very similar conversation with myself. While there is much to be desired in my current position, I really need to do a better job of respecting the MANY benefits that it provides. That said, here's some motivation for both of us...
Love the motivational picture! That is great. And much needed.
Mommy (yes I acutally am a grown woman who calls her mom "mommy" lol) is doing okay. The initial cancer conversation was much worse than the actual staging. They staged it as a stage one, which is really the best case senario. And because she had a complete hysterectomy, they removed it all for now, so there really aren't next steps. Just sit around, live life, and get screened in case this comes back. Which we're told in nearly always does. And when it does, then it's back to the drawing board on how to treat it. All in all, it really was as "good" of news as we can expect. Crazy emotional week. REALLY looking forward to the weekend.
