Full moon

OMG.  Last night was all sorts of ridiculousness over here.  Two double meltdowns between 9pm and 2am.  That sort of thing never, ever happens around here.  Like DH soothing one baby while I was rocking the other.  And in between the meltdowns, DD was just refusing to sleep, which is also completely unlike her.  She kept chatting at her brother and trying to see into his crib and nothing we did would calm her down.  It was seriously worse than any night with newborns and we are all question marks over here today as to wtf could have caused it.

I want to blame the full moon.  Because if this ish happens again, I may have to sell them.

Re: Full moon

  • Ugh, we have had those nights where nothing works and we are a loss of what is wrong, they are awful.  Could it be teething related?

  • At 2 years old, we still have nights like that.  Far too many of them, IMO.  They're mostly because of DS's night terrors, but yeah, there are lots of nights now that I get less sleep than I did when they were newborns.  Last night was one of them.  ::chugs coffee::

  • I used to teach-I fully believe in the "full moon" theories (as do, I'm sure, other teachers and people who work in nursing homes and hospitals! Wacky things happen!) ...haha between the full moon and our barometric pressure going nuts from storms last night I wasn't going to be surprised if I went into labor. I hope today is a little less insane for you!

  • Could very well be the full moon :) Lets hope!  I used to volunteer in a nursing home, and WOW... you could definitely tell when it was a full moon in there!
