Maya has just started doing this. It is awesome. Most of the time, it is when she is eating, but is done and wants to nurse, she signs "all done, milk". She has done a few other sentences here and there, but is picking up new signs all the time, so I'm sure others are on the horizon.Yet another post of why I love baby sign language!
Re: Signing in sentences
my god, i just can't get over how verbally/communicationally advanced she is! Its awesome!! Jones just started making the dada noise this weekend on the way back from the gtg...and its not related to DH yet...we have a ways to go yet! and he doesn't even notice signs... (although, to be fair, we don't use them nearly consistently enough).
Go Maya!!!!

Hooray! I felt like it was a huge milestone when Eliza started signing in 2 and 3 word phrases. It's awesome, right?!
We just started keeping a list of how many signs Eliza has at 17mo and she has over 40 that she uses regularly. I can't say enough about how helpful it has been.

Just use them all the time as I am talking to her. She has picked up a ton of new ones lately, with very little exposure. We have only done "change your diaper" a handful of times with her, but she signed it to us the other day, and I went to change her and she had pooped. Singing at so young an age really unlocks the communication barrier and makes you realize that they have so many more thoughts and preferences than you would think at such a young age, and that they understand so much.
I sign "more milk" to her and "all done" all the time. But there are so few I know. How did you learn all of the signs that you use?
