red ring around newborns irises

Our little guy has had a thin red ring around the iris in both of his eyes since birth; our pediatrician said its just from being pushed out and that it would go away in a week or so...we have an appointment tomorrow so Ill ask again since it's still there. Anyone roses babe have them?

    DS had the same thing on his left eye. Pedi said it could take a month to go away but it seems to be almost gone now. He's a little over 3 weeks.

    DD had this on her left eye, and it was completely gone by about 3 weeks.

    Both of my LOs had them when they were born. They went away with in a month.
