I would be willing to leave Finn right now for a couple of days with my MIL or oldest SIL, but I think that's all. Maybe my other SIL, too, but mostly because she lives near MIL. :P
For myself, I would want to go somewhere comfy with lots of food, but that's because I'm a big fat pregnant lady right now. Anywhere that I could lay down and eat and possibly get some form of massage would be nice. Tropical would be fun as long as there was ac. Nonpregnant me would be up for camping and hiking and horseback riding, maybe skiing or OOOH! DOG SLEDDING! That would be super cool!

1. After 1 year, but I would really only feel comfortable leaving him with my mom. With that being said, she lives 12 hours away, so I don't know how that would work.
2. Anywhere. Cali, DC, Boston, it really doesn't matter as long as we are together. We've only had one vacation where it was just the two of us...our honeymoon.
Obviously not for me, but....
1. around a year, probably, and only with my parents.

Since I've already left DD at 3 months for a weekend, I'd say ASAP.

*sigh* I really wish this was my husband. But I know it's not because he and I know we don't have the money for a vacation.
1) I first left C at 7 weeks when DH and I went to a hotel for a night for a date. I was miserable. But when I left him the night of my BFF's wedding last month it wasn't so bad. If she's BF, she probably won't want to leave baby until after baby is weaned, so probably at the minimum 4-6 months depending on your LO's age.
2) DC and surrounding area - I'd love to go to the Smithsonian (and so would my H), San Francisco - I have an online friend there that I'd LOVE to meet. NYC - Another online friend there that I'd love to meet. Hawaii would be pretty awesome, too.
::sigh:: I know this isn't my DH because we're talking about our first trip sans children next summer. Plus, you said "baby" and not "babies."
1) I wouldn't be comfortable leaving them for 3-4 days until they were at least a year and a half, so maybe March? Then again, that's iffy.
2) I have a list of places I want to go with DH: Nashville, New Orleans, Vegas and NYC.

I know this is not my husband, since he knows where I want to vacation next, but here it goes:
1) Since we are BFing, not until DS is weaned. I have no idea when that is going to happen. Could be anywhere from the age of 1-2 years.
2) Grand Canyon. I'm a geologist and have never been. I feel like I am missing out.
I think you're awesome! Here are my answers...
1. I don't think I would be OK leaving her for that long until after she's a year old. I may be a weirdo on that one, though.
2. Personally, I would love to go stay in a beachfront hotel/condo on Sanibel or Captiva Islands in FL. I have been there before for a day trip (cause I was NOT fancy enough to afford to stay there) and it is gorgeous and very classy. Plus, there are dolphins!
That was my clue that it's not mine.
Like many posters, I question whether SUPERDH is my H, even though my H is super. That said...
1. I'm comfortable leaving when she is consistently STTN (that's a full night, not 5 hours) and she's OK with the family member. Preferably my sister or your SIL; neither of our mothers are an option.
2. August is our 5 year anniv. Might be nice to go back to Sonoma/Napa - have dinner at the Manor, stay at the Zin Inn, traipse around the vineyards and we can hit the Infineon Raceway for you.Throw in a night in SF and our getaway would be complete.
I wouldn't leave her until she is weaned. I don't know when that will be, somewhere between 12-18 months.
I want to go back to Vegas where we got married!
1. I know my dh and I are not ready to leave her until she is night weaned and mostly STTN or at least sleeping in her crib the whole night. So around a year would be my guess.
2. Anywhere warm. FL, CA, but Hawaii would be my number one choice
This is really cute. I know it's not my H either because he has no vacation days, but I'll answer for fun.
1) I left E for a weekend already due to a wedding I was in, so I know I can trust my mom to take good care of her, but since I EBF, I got so stressed out making milk just for that one weekend that I don't think I'd be willing to do that again any time soon. It would have to be after she's a year old.
2) I've been to a lot of places in the US, but the places I liked most were CA, FL, and Hawaii. I would love to go to any of those places again!
um I guess I would be okay with it...I'm not crazy about leaving him for that long at ALL, you know not until he's older...but it'd be alright for just 3-4 days.
Where in the US? Wow IDK, Vegas, or New York...no way Harry Potter Land!!!!

I wouldn't want to leave M for longer than overnight until he is weaned or mostly weaned (so close to 12 months), because I don't want to have to worry about pumping on vacation. It would also be nice if he had grown out of most of his food intolerances before then, so that I wouldn't have to stress about who was feeding him what. I also don't want to miss his first birthday, so that weekend would be out for travelling.
New York would be fun. Or California. Or Hawaii. I'd probably stress less in New York, because I know I could get home fast if there was some kind of emergency.
Man I wish you were my husband! Your wife needs to come back and let us know when you surprise her!
I would go now - we are alreading leaving him for three nights this weekend to go camping. I would want DS to stay with my parent/sister though, because I would stress out too much if he was with my ILs for an extended period of time.
I want a beach, a fruity frosty drink and a good book!
