D.C. Area Babies

D.C. ranks number one in ?best city for families?

As someone born and raised in DC who is constantly told "you can't raise a kid in the city" this made me smile!

  • That's really surprising to hear. Of course, I've only lived here for 2 and 1/2 years, but it seems like there's no room for middle class here. You're either rich or poor and you live in the hood or in a nearly million dollar townhouse.

  • I need to get out more, lol. I love DC, but being that it's a big city, most areas of the city I wouldn't want to be wandering around after dark. I live on Bolling AFB, in SW, so I feel pretty secure here, but just off base it's not such a nice area.
