Now that we've all had some time and experience with diapering, I'm wondering what people's preferences are for brands for disposable diapers. We've been using Huggies Pure & Natural, which I like for the organic cotton and hypoallergenic qualities, and they seem to contain blowouts fairly well, but they seem kindof rough and scratchy on her skin. I'm curious what others are using and liking. TIA!

Re: diaper preference
We have used pamper swaddlers and Target Up&Up. I LOVE the Up&Up brand for DD2, but they don't hold much for newborns and they really puff up a lot. When she gets closer to size 2 we will try the Up&Ups again, if they don't work, then I'll probably try the Costco brand. We used them with DD1, but DD2 had a sensitivity to them for some reason.
We've been through several brands, including Huggies, Pampers, and Target (Up & Up brand?) and all have been very comparable. We've had a few blowouts from each brand, but I think because of two primary reasons: First, when he was outgrowing the newborn size (boo hoo!) and second because we need to make sure that the extra little 'fabric' around the legs gets pulled out and not tucked into the diaper.
We did have a red bottom reaction while using the Pampers Dry Max newborn size. Will definitely not be buying any Dry Max again -- I hope the Pampers without Dry Max are okay -- I have several cases of those from the days of good coupons on Amazon.
I primarily use Pampers, the swaddlers, but I was given a box of the NB sized huggies little snugglers, and for the most part both are comparable.
Allie has had more pooplosions in the huggies, but it's happening when she is in her car seat, so maybe it's more the angle/diaper than just the diaper?
I primarily used pampers with my son, with the occasional huggies and luvs. never had any issues.

We are huggies people over here. I've tried the Pampers, which were a little roomier, but they weren't as absorbent and all the pee rolled to his butt before it got sucked up, which led to a soppy bottom.
The Huggies little snugglers were much more our speed. Only leaked crystals once, and without any problem. Next up, we will be switching to COSTCO dipes.
I love my cloth too - but I use newborn green mountain prefolds with thirsties covers, and bum genius AIO in XS. She hasn't gotten serious enough about pee and poo to need extra bulk at night yet
I do use sposies for travel or when the grandparents are watching them (or, if for some reason, the laundry isn't done in time) and I really like the Pampers Swaddlers the best.
I've got boys. I like Pampers for NB. The belly button divet in Huggies NB allows for too much leaking with the boys. They were good for the first two weeks. As the diaper sizes get bigger, I like Huggies. They seem more sturdy. Also, they sell them at Costco. I agree with others, Up & Up aren't bad! ...Though I've only tried them at size 3 and 4.
I'm loving our cloth diapers too. We use FuzziBunz, Ecobums, Happy Heinys, Thirsties Duos, Green Mountain Fitteds and Thirsties covers.
We also use sposies for when we are out and about for a long period of time or when we run out of dipes and laundry isn't quite dry yet. I really liked Pampers Swaddlers and Luvs when C was in Newborn. Huggies had some major blowouts for us. But we are using Size 1 Huggies Snug n Dry right now and they are working great. Once those are out we have a box of Pampers to try. Those are just the brands that people bought us...we haven't had to buy any disposables ourselves. Just the cloth!
For the price, I really like the target diapers. But, through Amazon Mom, I get pampers cheaper than Target diapers. And I really prefer pampers because of their feel and fit.
We use mostly cloth, but part disposables.
Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive, no blowouts yet! I also ordered a box of Pampers Dry Baby in the next size up...I've heard they can go all night keeping baby dry so we'll try those next.
I've been paying .09 - .11 per diaper on Amazon (without coupons). Here's a post I did on how to save: https://munnfunn.blogspot.com/2011/04/amazon-diaper-deals.html
I did use some free Huggies from the hospital and they gave her a rash.
