Oi What A Week... PIP

8 days pp and Im so wore out. She is so much work and so fussy but I love her to death. I broke down in tears last night because I hadnt showered in two days and she would not go to sleep. Oh the baby blues. Hope all you ladies are having an easier time than I am.

Heres a pic of LO

  • Sorry you are having such a tough time! My LO sleeps a fair bit so I've been able to shower and get a little rest, but I did find that after two weeks things got a lot easier.  She started feeding a lot faster, and sleeping for longer stretches at night. She also has completely adjusted to breast milk now, which caused her a lot of gas at first, and made her pretty fussy.

Hopefully this happens for you too!

  • What a beauty!  I hit rock bottom around 8 days but it does get better.  She sleeps for a couple hours at a time and it's much easier to get in a shower or a nap or a snack.  Hang in there and savor the snuggle moments!

This.. Hang in there mama. I cried a lot the first week, but the second week (LO was born on June 3rd) seems to be a bit better. He's up more during the day, but at night he sleeps better. We actually had a 4 hr block last night (WOOT WOOT) I will be honest, since he's been here I've only been able to find time to take 3 showers.

  • She is so cute! It definitely does get easier. Mine is 2 weeks today and things have gotten MUCH better over the last couple of days. I am a little less exhausted and she's going 3-4 hours between most feedings. I even had us both out of bed before 10am today!
