My little guy and I have had thrush for almost 2 weeks now. He is on Nystatin oral drops and I've got the cream for my nipples. I've been trying to avoid yeast and sugar. I've been rinsing my nipples with vinegar/water after feedings, sanitizing his soother every night, eating more yogurt and airing out my nipples(to my husband's delight).
So my problem is, it's not going away! I'm going to pick up a refill of his Nystatin and try Monistat for my nipples but I'm sort of at a loss to what else I can do. I will try and find the Acidophilus at the drug store while I'm there, as I know that can help too.
Anyone else go through this? What else can I do?!
Re: XP: Persistent Thrush - Help!
Another vote for grapefruit seed extract. Get the liquid and start taking the capsules. This is what my LC had me follow when I got it with DD and now I just follow it when I know I have it. I just got over it with DS and it will take a week or so for it to go away.
Here's how to use it
