not parenting related fb post

I posted a pic of a bottle of vino that is called b*tch! 

I thought it was the best thing ever.  on the back it says  B*tch, b*tch, b*tch.......

I bought it for a friend who is and knows she is a biotch.  I posted a pic of it on fb.

i got to private msgs from some "older"  fb friends that my post offended them. and one of them went so far as to say it offends God.  

I had 15 responses to the picture saying cool, where'd you get it, i have it, it's good, etc...  the person it was for was like you know me to well!!!!!

i'm wondering if the word biotch offended these people or if it was the bottle of vino because they don't drink.  One of them is my preachers wife.

ehhh, oh well. 

and by the way the wine is yummy, and they have a sparkling wine as well which i shall buy as well.

My DH bought it for me for Valentine's Day!  I thought it was hilarious.  I wouldn't worry about it.  If it offends people, I would simply say it was not intended offensively but humorously.  Quite frankly, if they don't get you and your sense of humor, they should defriend already.

Yeah, I think it's hilarious.  It's barely an offensive word at all.  I vote apologize that they were offended, warn them that that sort of thing might happen again, and tell them you will still love them even if they choose to unfriend you or hide you from their feed.

When I drank wine, this is how I would pick it...by the name if it's unique or by the bottle design.

Is this preachers wife a good friend? I don't think they make good FB friends as they would be easily offended & form judgements from something you post. Too opinionated. Maybe seeing all the other posts she will see she is over-reacting. If she makes issue of it, I'd unfriend or block her from seeing my posts.

When I post stuff I think might be off putting to one or two people in particular, I just block them from seeing it. But out of all my FB friends, they get my warped sense of humor. All are either friends or family, and I think only 2 people I've never met IRL. It's the older gen family members that can be funny, but only sometimes. Most of the time, they just choose to ignore it! My rule is anyway, if it's something I wouldn't let L see (at age 14), I'll pm it because I have cousins his age on there.

And if you like that wine you really ought to try Fat B@stard. It's fantastic.
