Ok, some of these may be stupid questions but I'm really starting to panic about flying to Disney next month with a 2 yo and a 2 mo. DH and I have flown a few times but never flown with children so we're not sure how this all works.
1. We are flying southwest and purchased 3 tickets since DS is over 2. What, if anything, do I need to bring for ID for DS and DD?
2. We are renting an SUV...should I rent carseats from the rental car company or can you take carseats on the plane/check them?
3. What about the stroller? How do we go about checking the stroller?
4. Any other tips on plane travel or renting a car?
Re: Questions about traveling with infant
You have a ticket for DS so take a car seat with you and gate check your stroller. Use the carseat if you can (Some airlines are a PITA about this)on the plane if not gate check again. Don't trust rental companies with car seats, you don't know what you are getting.

ETA For DD take a car seat if they have room they will let you on with it if not gate check. Nurse or offer a paci or bottle during altitude changes and dress in layers, carry a spare outfit for you and the babies.
The last time we flew, it was with Delta -- but I don't think you will need any kind of ID for your son or daughter. We were not required to present anything when we traveled with our DS.
I would DEFINITELY NOT rent car seats from the rental agency. You can take your own seats and check them for free. I would check them at the gate and they will have them available for you at the gate when you get off the plane. Same with the stroller. You'll probably want to use it in the airport, so just check it at the gate.
I agree with the pp, you should either nurse or give a bottle/paci to your DD during takeoff and landing. It will make it easier on her ears. Changes of clothes are good, my DS had a blowout in the airport, thank goodness I had clothes!
It will probably be a relatively easy trip, I couldn't get over how easy it was flying with our son. It would probably be a giant PITA now that he is 3 and bossy and talks back, but traveling with the littler ones is easier than it seems. Have a great trip
