Tell me more about this diaper-free/potty-time at night? Is it all night or just pre-bath, or...?
Cal has pooped in the potty once and peed a number of times, but none recently. We don't have any set thing we do, but your approach sounds promising.

After Jack's bath these days - I dry him off and then while he's nakey - I'll put some lotion on his arms if needed and then put a pajama top on. He then plays for a little bit with nothing on his bottom - and I tell him, "if you have to pee, sit on your potty, don't pee on the floor!" (This is said VERY nicely and matter of factly and if he DOES pee on the floor I just say "oops!! you were supposed to pee in the potty!" but jokingly, if that makes sense. With silliness, not any stern-ness. Ideally though - he won't pee on the floor and then after he plays a little (and I do this just to air out his butt a little too - just to have some diaper free time) - but then I'll tell him I'm going to go get his ba-ba (YES IT IS SCANDALOUS - my 2.5 year old still drinks a bottle of milk at night - ha ha!! Call the bump police, I'm going to get my license revoked for sure.) So - while I'm doing that he sits on his potty and then he continues sitting there as he drinks his ba-ba (and yes we do baby talk too. We are failures.)
Last night - he was playing with trucks when I had my back turned and he announced "I did a POOP!" and I was so thrilled to see he'd (mostly) got it in the potty because he wasn't even sitting on it so he had to have run over to it on his own when he felt himself starting to poop. So that was just really cool, I thought.
We've been flushing poops from his diaper down the toilet for a long time and he is always very involved in that process so he knows that you flush turds down the toilet - but when I saw him waving that little receptacle around (when I turned my back AGAIN) - well I thought for sure the poop was going to get flung to the floor but he did run into the bathroom (his potty is in the hallway outside the bathroom because our bathroom is the size of a closet it is ridiculously small) and he managed to dump it and flush it all by himself.
Now - we may not see a repeat for a long time - I don't know. We'll see over this next week if we had some kind of break through. He IS peeing in the potty with more frequency but it's still not every day. So we're taking our time but I feel really good about the direction he's going in and the pace that we're going.
