J has been in bed talking to himself for the last hour.  He normally goes to bed at 6, but he's still awake.  (I think because he took like a 15 min catnap at 3:45 in the car...grr!)  We tried going in with some more formula but he didn't want it and he's still talking and wiggling away.  So would you leave him or go in and get him up for a bit longer?

I say leave him.  Maybe he'll talk himself to sleep!  Unless he's crying I wouldn't worry about it (although I know you'll worry anyway -that kind of thing always makes it impossible for me to relax until kiddo finally falls asleep).

Totally!  He's not crying at all...just happily talking and wiggling around...ugh!

I would let him talk himself to sleep and have even at that age. But yes I stayed awake until he went to sleep.

Thanks ladies...he finally fell asleep just a few minutes ago.  Here's hoping he sleeps until his normal wake up time in the morning!
