My cousin had her baby today and named it:

Trip Levi  (last name)

Aaaand GO!

And.  AND!  This cousin, has a 3 year old little boy she no longer has custody of, to her ex, is a coke addict, was in jail just a few months ago because she caught her (new) husband cheating and tried to run him into a lake with her car. 

It just gives me warm fuzzies all over.

I will add though, the baby seems perfectly healthy so I think she might have been smart enough to abstain while she was pregnant.  Thank God.

I don't think it's all that bad (the name).  Trip is NMS but it reminds me of the character on Gossip Girl (who is now the hot lead in the Catch Me If You Can musical).  And I like Levi.

DEFINITELY  on all the rest of that stuff though.  Ugh.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who wondered about the Palin reference, given that Bristol Palin's son is named Tripp, and his father is named Levi.

Yeah I agree with AustinBride, i don't think it's *that* bad.  I don't really care for Trip though.  Levi is interesting - biblical reference and all, so that doesn't bother me.  I would be less bothered by Trip if it had two Ps.  Eh, to each his own I guess.  But the rest of it...

yeah, I know someone similar.  I like her and her kids are absolutely adorable, and each of their names is great on their own.  But as siblings? the names suck.

Her son's name is Grayson.  Her daughter's name is Gracelynn.  Oh it is awful even in just the event I see her in trying to tell to which kid she's talking.

I have heard Trip used as a nickname before, for someone who is the third.  I always thought it was cute.  Well, primarily because it was a boy in college that I thought was cute.   Just didn't occur to me to make the actual name Trip, rather than just calling the person Trip since they are the third.

Haha - and my first thought is that she must be a Matthew McConaughey fan.  Tripp was his character's name in Failure to Launch, and Levi is his first son's name.  Not that I'm obsessed w/MM or anything (hey, I'm not the one who named my kid Trip Levi!), I'm just not much of a Palin fan, I guess...
